Announcements

As we enter the week of temptation, let us learn from and imitate our Lord Jesus Christ, as He said:

“Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ.” 1 Corinthians 11:1

Let us remember and learn that nothing in this life is worth anything. In fact, everything on earth is considered dust and worthless. Our true treasure is our Lord Jesus. Everything fades away and passes, no matter who or what it is: money, career, fame, relationships, status, entertainment, or anything else. It will all go away; that is a known fact.

The only One who will never go away is Jesus. Glory be to Him. He will always be there for you, no matter where you are or who you are. His hands are always open and stretched out toward you.

Let us also learn from Solomon, who had everything he wanted under the sun. Yet at the end he said:

“Vanity of vanities, all is vanity.” Ecclesiastes 1:2

And remember the words of our Lord:

“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.”  Matthew 4:4

Man shall not live by bread alone: by physical, materialistic, and earthly things, but by God and by all His commandments and His love.
